The charity was created in 1998 by parents and a number of school special needs teachers.

How is it Treated

Remedial Treatment

Remedial treatment can be given by the prescription of coloured overlays. Specific colours and mixtures are given by Irlen screeners based on the best combination for the individual child. It must be noted that due to the nature of the overlays (limited colour variations and the aquardness of using them), they are not seen as a long term solution

Long Term Treatment

Long term treatment is achieved by the child wearing "Irlen Filters". These filters are fitted into standard glasses frames.

For those people who wear contact lenses, this can also be accommodated
